The interior of the north wall of the abbey. The abbey was
severely damaged by the English in 1544 and 1547,
and by a mob during the Scottish Reformation in 1559. After extensive
remodeling in 1633 for the coronation of Charles I,
the roof was lost during a storm in 1768.
