Grand Tetons Next Jackson Hole

Some people refer to the town of Jackson as "Jackson Hole," but that is incorrect. Jackson Hole is the 60-mile-long valley between the Teton Range (on the west) and the Gros Ventre Range (on the east) with the town of Jackson at the south end and Jackson Lake at the north end. Grand Teton National Park was expanded in 1950 to include the Jackson Hole area.
