| Lion's Paw (Lyropecten nodosus). This large knobby scallop is found off the southeastern U.S. and the West Indies. This specimen was found by a Tarpon Springs, Florida, sponge diver. I paid $7.50 for it in the early 1950s. Left valve: 9 cm X 9.5 cm. |
