Sea Urchins are not mollusks. They belong to the phylum Echinoderms, which also includes starfish, sea cucumbers and sand dollars. There are more than 700 species of urchins. This specimen was marked as a Sputnik Urchin (Phyllacanthus imperialis). 11.5 cm diamter X 11.5 cm high incldg spines.
